Many applications are connected to internet ,sometimes we need to know the ip address for many reason ,
may for blocked it using firewall ,to prevent connected internet or other reason ,here one of task of Resource monitor job is watching your resource ,memory,CPU,hard disk,network,
open it Run command ,perfmon.exe or task manger choose performance tab(menu) at the end you will see
open resource monitor
so choose processor with network to choose to choose the application expand tcp connection
you will see the remote address the application connect to it and other info like size of send and receive of byte per second .speed of your connection also.

Recently,I discover this tool accidentally when i digging in windows 8 system32 folder.
actually i was looking for where is Resource Monitor tool is Run,I open task manager and selected Resource monitor by right click file location ,so it take me to system32 folder ,so i move down i notice exe application file called psr.exe so i interested what shortcut mean so i click on it , i t open  and it,s title bar name is steps record, so i start record it,s record every step and take image for every step done by mouse click or selected.and you can  save it as mht file can open with internet explorer, firefox and google  must have mht plugin.
you can open tool using run and write psr.exe. so i do not know if  this tool is exist in previous windows versions
let you with steps recorded with Steps Recorder tool.
